SPACES
Vertebra Dansa transforms Tortosa into a vast open-air stage, where every venue becomes a meeting point for artistic creation, professional training, and audiences. From studios hosting professional workshops to squares, parks, and heritage sites presenting performances and activities, the festival spreads throughout the city to create a vibrant, welcoming, and immersive experience.
The Carpa VERTEBRA DANSA is the heart of the Festival’s performance programme. You will find it in the car park opposite the entrance to the Felip Pedrell Theatre and Auditorium in Tortosa.
With its characteristic natural amphitheater configuration, the Plaça de l’Absis will be the stage for the festival’s free shows on July 23, 24 and 25 and for the Espai Viu, the exhibition of non-professional workshops, on July 16.
The courtyard of the Tortosa Museum will host the performance of the Cia. Hotel Iocandi as part of the ‘Pla de Barris i Viles’ of the Tortosa city council.
The festival’s Information Point is located in Teodor González Park. Feel free to stop by if you have any questions—we’ll be happy to help in any way we can.
The three Intensive Pro programme tracks will take place at the Tortosa Seminary.
The Felip Pedrell Theatre and Auditorium will host the professional monographic workshop led by Wim Vandekeybus.
The Neus Rodés Dance Centre will host the sessions of the professional monographic workshop led by the company Peeping Tom.
Located along the central promenade of Teodor González Park in Tortosa, the Carpa Xirin will host the Espai Viu activities (non-professional workshops) during the day and the festival’s DJ sessions in the evenings. In addition, on Saturday, 25 July at 10:00 am, it will host Saïd Gharbi’s talk and workshop.
The Casal Tortosí has been chosen to host one of the festival’s flagship programmes: Creació VERTEBRA DANSA, a participatory creative process involving people from a wide range of local community groups.
Llac Vell, in Teodor González Park, will host Daniel Mariblanca’s talk on Wednesday, 22 July.
